Etienne Thil’s approach, as a practitioner and theorist of modern commercial revolution, has had a profound impact on the retail sector. The conference which bears his name has become the annual forum for all professionals and academics passionate about the study of and changes in the retail trade.

Created in 1998 by the « University-Commerce Meetings » Association, this conference focuses on trans-disciplinarity and communication between the business and academic world. The richness of the exchanges comes from the dialogue between academics, whether they be managers, economists, sociologists, geographers, historians and lawyers, or executive managers, who on a daily basis conceive and build tomorrow’s retail.
